ST3 Sound Updater あんど SampleTank 3 Free あんど SampleTank 3.0.2

　先日、ふとユーザーエリアに入ったら、『Click here to download the Sound Library Update 8-22-2014』とのこと。49MBほどのファイルを頂戴して解答するとWin用は22MBほどで、中身は「Instruments」フォルダが85ファイル、「Patterns」フォルダが2,226ファイル。変更点は明記されてないよーだが、「patch.dat」の中を覗いてみると、

　だそーな。インストール済みの音色と比べてみると、「Pop Vocal Solo」は76ファイルが全交換に加えて2音色追加されてたり、「Patterns」の全ファイルが交換されるみたい。ちと気になったので交換されるファイルやフォルダは別名にしてから、手作業で更新。

　で、軽く新旧の違いを探してみると、「Ballad Piano Stack」ではINFOのメモリ表示が「-1473.00 MB」だったのが「2623.00 MB」に。

　「Upright Piano & Voices」も「-1916.41 MB」だったのが「2179.59 MB」に。「Bass Marimba」は以前記した音程のズレが解消したみたい。「Patterns」のMIDIファイルの多くはファイルサイズが大きくなっていたが、幾つかCubase上で眺めた範疇では違いがわからなかった。

　そんな中、ふと気付くとSampleTank 3 Freeが出てたり。名前だけはちらっと見た後消えたけど、今度は正式みたい。ただし、『SampleTank 3製品版の高品位かつ多彩なサウンドの可能性を、機能の制限なく、毎週１インストゥルメントづつ拡張しながらお試しいただけます。』とのことで、これまでのFreeとは異なるらしい。
　とりあへづ頂戴しよーかとユーザーエリアに入ると、SampleTank 3.0.2と出逢う。変更点↓

・Fixed a bug where key zone ranges were not filled between their root notes for user sample import when the Root Note Selection by Name option was chosen
・Fixed an issue where the library was rescanned unnecessarily
・User sample import and legacy library import is now disabled during the trial period

　↑を見ると、最後の1行がFree向けの制限なのかも。早速更新を済ませて起動確認したが、私の環境では特に違いは感じない。いちおーFreeも頂戴したけど、インポートできないなら使うことはないかな？ちなみに、Freeも3.0.2でした。
